DJ StopnStart presents The Hoogle
Remember the Hoogle? Well check this out cos Davey D from Inverness can……Me and the missus have just been on holiday in the wilds of Scotland and we met Davey and got talking about music.
I’ll be honest I found it hard to believe that quality black music was doing it up there - and according to Davey has been for years! So I only went and said ‘prove it!’……not bad for a Scotch lad! Cheers Davey!
The tune you here is a Hooglers classic - Jaco Pastorius ‘Come On Come Over’. I’ve also included some shots of ‘the frozen north’ och aye the noo!
Any other dance moves to share give me a shout here on YDN.

Grüezi DJ Stopnstart!
We are the Alpendudlers and we’ve been looking for a long time for a dance that harmonize with our local landscape and our bandname. We’ve found it! Thanks for that and: Hoogle on!

Hello Pimp Spray
Yes at one time it was THE hot move. Sadly nowadays there are only a handful of the originals like Davey left. Like most things though it’s only a matter of time before it’s back with a vengeance. What’s catching the thing in your Austrian/German woods?

Call yourselves a northern soul website? This is a disgrace and would never have been played at the Wigan Casino!

More to the point Owen The Hoogle is the one move that continues to exist, and have developed, from back in the day - as you well know. It may not have been accepted by the purists way back but nights like Sandys, Big Bang and Point Black made it a legend. Correct me if I’m wrong……
